The Launch of Lu’EriCa
In 2019 Erica’s parents, Eric and Meechee Johnson, founded Lu’EriCa in honor of her. For those who knew Erica know how fashionable and trend setting she was. Meechee and Erica enjoyed shopping, singing, and doing their hair and make-up together just for fun. When Erica was younger she often told her mom she wanted to pick out her own outfits (like most young girls). Later in life, Erica couldn’t wait to seek out her mom’s advice on how something looked or what would accessorize best with her outfit. The two of them bonded through this common hobby and it is one of my fondest memories of spending time with them out and about in the stores of Las Vegas, Nevada.
All proceeds of official E.R.I.C.A. Lupus Awareness merchandise sold on the Lu’EriCa site will be donated to the E.R.I.C.A. Lupus Awareness Fund. All other merchandise on the Lu’EriCa site benefits the Johnson Family online retail business. The Johnson Family will use the proceeds to expand the business with hopes of one day opening up a fashion boutique to carry on Erica’s legacy.
